Cheshire based SONA has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director to devise and implement an exciting new five-year development plan for the luxury technology company.
Nicola Fulstow has worked in SONA since its inception in 2012, where she has been instrumental in driving the business forward. Simon Fulstow, Founder of SONA will still be as instrumental in the business, focusing heavily on the technical system design and specification.
Nicola will replace Simon as Managing Director to support SONA’s ambitions for growth, which includes the creation of the North West’s most luxurious home technology experience centre due for completion in 2019.
Part of a Larger Restructure
Earlier this week, Founder of SONA, Simon Fulstow revealed the new SONA brand and website, which they hope along with a 5 year growth plan, will set them up as the North West’s leading luxury home technology company. Nominated for 5 awards at next week’s CEDIA industry awards, the company are going from strength to strength, showing that quality luxury technology brands exist and thrive outside of London.
Simon says: “As our company is growing and we are attracting projects working on some of the North West’s largest, and most complex luxury homes, we needed someone purely focused on driving the business forward. I wanted to get back to my core roots – it’s all about the technology and design for me, and this is where I excel. We needed a person highly motivated, with big visions and capable of taking SONA to new levels in the role of Managing Director.
Nicola is not only a natural leader and business-woman, but she’s also my wife. Knowing her very well, she was the clear choice when it came to driving the business forward. Luckily I didn’t have to beg! It was a meeting of minds, and we had both separately been thinking that this was the best and most logical next step for SONA. When we discussed it, it was a no-brainer.
Nicola has been instrumental in our recent re-branding and devising our five year development plan. We compliment each other really well – I’m all about the details, and Nicola is always focused on the big vision asking ‘what do we want to achieve? and How can we be better? I’m excited to see where the business will go with her at the helm.”
Nicola said “I’m thrilled to take on this role at such an exciting, and challenging time within the industry. They’re big shoes to fill and Simon absolutely remains the technology expert, but I bring a different perspective to the business when it comes to customer experience and developing processes within the business that set us apart. We have big plans for growth over the next five years and I’m chomping at the bit to deliver them.”
SONA are nominated for 5 awards over 4 categories in the EMEA region in next week’s CEDIA awards, 27th September at The British Museum in London.
